Sports families are constantly on the go, running between practices and games. Add a baby into the mix, and it feels like an impossible task. We have compiled a list of ideas for you to add to your baby registry to make life easier for you, your baby, and your whole family (in and out of season)! All babies are different, and you never know what they might love, which is why we have a wide selection of baby items on our registry.
Here are some of our baby favorites:
- Tushbaby: The price is high, but the Tushbaby is worth every penny! It completely removes pressure from your arms and back while you hold your baby. This is perfect for practices, games, or just doing chores around the house when baby is unhappy being anywhere else except close to you. It's a great option when baby wants more freedom than the carrier allows or for ease of picking them up and putting them back down.
- Under the Lights Designs swaddle: This extra large, stretchy, and soft swaddle blanket is the perfect thing to get your baby to sleep through the night! The stretch helps you get a tight swaddle that is much harder to break out of during sleep time. Our youngest was able to bust out of every swaddle except this one! Plus, the design is perfect for any football-loving family. (Girl & Boy version available!)
- Portable Pump: A portable pump is a necessity for busy sports moms! Being able to pump on the go is a lifesaver. Something like this works as well as hospital-grade pumps and is often covered by insurance. Completely wearable pumps are another option, but they are not usually fully covered by insurance and generally don't have the best suction (compared to the ones you plug in the wall!).
- Custom Football Jersey Onesie: A fun way to announce your pregnancy or show a bit of school spirit once baby arrives, our baby onesie jerseys are totally customizable with names and colors so you can cheer on your favorite team!
- GoPod Baby Activity Center: This portable device is perfect for containing your baby when they get a little more active. It's perfect for games, practices, the backyard, or traveling!
- Coach's Kid Children's Books: Available in a baseball and football version, these two books are our most popular items and a perfect addition to your registry!
- Portable High Chair: This is a great way to give baby a bit more autonomy while making it easier for you to feed them. Depending on the baby's age, size, and capabilities, there are so many options, so find the one that works best for your baby and your family's needs.
- Baby Carrier: While we will continue to praise Tushbaby, there are many carrier options depending on your baby's age, size, and preference. I recommend a "wrap" version for the early months and then upgrading to a more sturdy carrier as your baby gets older. Trust me, these are essential for on-the-go sports moms!
- 3-in-1 Snack/Formula Container: We're all about working smarter, not harder! This 3-in-1 snack and formula container is perfect for packing formula for the baby, snacks for your kids, and something sweet for you! That's a win-win for us.
- Portable Sound Machine: If you're bringing baby to practice or games, it's bound to get LOUD. While we can't promise this portable sound machine will drown out all the noises, it will help make it a quieter and more soothing experience for your baby when they try to sleep.
- Diaper Disposal Bags: Trust me on this one – you can never have too many of these!
- Diaper Rash Spray: There's nothing worse than a crying, fussy baby with diaper rash. I've tried so many different options, and this is the best, quickest, and easiest way to treat stubborn diaper rashes.
- Diaper Changing Pad: Community bathrooms can leave a lot to be desired! I always bring a diaper-changing pad because you never know when, where, or how you'll need to change a dirty diaper.
- Milk Cooler Bag: If you're breastfeeding, a milk cooler bag is a great way to ensure any milk you're pumping or transporting stays cool and doesn't go bad.
- Fan: It can get HOT in Georgia during the summer months (and fall...and spring!), so a fan is a must. I recommend trying to find one that can clip onto a baby carrier.
- Toy straps: These toy straps are fun and safe for a teething baby! They clip onto strollers, carriers, car seats, and so much more, so you won't have to worry about losing them. They're a great way to keep baby preoccupied during practices and games.
- Pacifier Clips: Always being on the go between practices, games, and home, meaning lots of parking lots, sitting in the bleachers, and walking in general. These pacifier clips guarantee you'll never lose a pacifier, regardless of how much baby might try to throw them!
Having a baby while being part of a sports family can be stressful. You're running between practices and games, managing your household, and trying to keep a baby alive! Hopefully, this baby registry for sports families helps alleviate stress and provides practical and cute items for everyday life.
